How Long do springs Last?
The install took right at 55min W/ Just a Hi-Lift Jack and a 2 ton floor Jack. I found that my Old springs were Worn differently, The right one was appx 1/2" Shorter than my Left.. This was why my truck was always Pulling to the right so hard. It looks Great but i only got appx 3/4" Lift out of it. Now before i got the Coils my Wheels were setting like this /\ but now there almost Perfect, The truck dosnt even look like it needs an Alignment (even though im getting one tomorrow anyway).
Im kinda worried, How long will these springs stay at this height? Im hoping that they dont sag much at all considering i only got 3/4" Lift, This makes me want to get a set of 1" Daycor (sp) Spacers to get some better height. Plus i his some nasty speed bumps going over 30mph and the shocks did not Break so i guess i didnt get much lift at all.
O well, I needed something to do today, This just ended up costing me $117.00. Over all im happy but i expected ALOT more out of this... Just for the record, I remember reading how some People's springs were Pretty compressed. Its the same on my truck but only the upper half, The lower half (The half you cant see from the side) looks normal but the rest of the spring is so compressed that the coils touch eachother.
Sorry for the long Post, If theres anything i could look at to maby gain the total 2" that i could have Messed up or forgetten Please let me know...Otherwise thanks for all the info i picked up about these things.
Thanks
Now that i got around to getting the Measuring tape out and worked with it alittle i see i only got 1/2" Lift and the right side sits around 1/2" Lower than the Left and thats on a Level surface.
Come to think about it, I retract my Last statment that i think it looks good....,,, I think it looks like the same old truck i had before i dropped the 117.00 into it, Now i have to get the Spacers so the day wasnt a total loss & that will set me back over $70.
Remind me next time i want to buy a truck to get one with a Leaf Spring Front End.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:

.Check out my Gallery for a look-see.
Then theres:
99' Mustang GT 4.6L
88' F-250 Heavyduty 4x4 351/c6
95' Mercury Cougar 4.6L V-8
80' E-350 300/6 with a
3 spd column shifter. Weighs around 7,000lbs w. 65mph top speed, who wants to race me!
The Alignment was only $59 so i got that done today because the money isnt there for the Spacers untill the end of next month. A guy at a Local Bow Hunting outfitters Has the moog on his '95 w/302 and he got 2" Also. also my Friend with the Same truck /Engine i have and he got 1.5"
Now i know i need new offset chamber bushings so should i get 2degree or less? I really need to know before i get another alignment.
Thanks
