i thaught i remembered a thread on a way that we could recalibrate our speedometer on our own. if i remember right, it envolved shorting a wire out, i think near the glovebox with a paper clip. every time you did it, 1 mph would be corrected for. i might be crazy or im thinking of something else. i tried a search but i cannot find it. any help would be great.
thanks
andy
2000 superduty
That was for a 94-97. The only way you can do it yourself on a 2000 Superduty is to go buy a superlift truespeed....and that will cost you more than the dealer will charge to reset it.
i caught my mistake before of mis posting before i got the answer. thanks cookie88. have you ever heard of one of them wearing out? i have no idea about them. a friend said hes replaced 3 truespeed's.. i dont know what hes got going on with them and why its breaking
I haven't used one personally. A buddy of mine local runs 38's on his Superduty and he said it's pretty simple to use and it works. No issues with it AFAIK.
I have had my truspeed for almost a year and I haven't had any problems with it. I really like it actually. Especially the toggle for 2 separate settings of tire sizes
my member near me wont do it... (kris)..he keeps forgetting to download the new version!..people these days! haha....Maybe one weekend well get around to doing it..my speeding tickets are adding up...
