RAnger stuck in second gear

i was out at ocotillo this weekend and on the drive up my shifter kept getting stuck, so when that happened i would turn the motor off and turn back on and it worked fine. when i got there i went to go find my friend then the truck slipped out of gear and the shifter would move into all the gears but was still stuck in like 3 or 4. we bumped started it and it jammed into second and now the shifter wont move. soo i drove all the way home at 30mph and now i need to get some sort of idea what is wrong with it and how much its gonna cost.

what year is you truck? 4x4?

i dont know whats wrong, but i have a 2003 4x4 5spd that is stuck in second also. iv got the transmission out but i cant tell whats wrong?
