This thing was running too good to be true. It`s got MSD stuff ,but she wont stay running for too long before it just shuts off. Any help from you true americans would be greatly appreciated.
Is this the 1990 F-150 in your profile? What all on it is MSD? How long before it will restart when it shuts off? Have you checked to see if it's ignition(spark) you are losing when it shuts off?
Thanx, it,s a boneyard block from a `90 F-250 w/Eagle stroker crank kit,Probe pistons,Trickflow ported heads,Edelbrock port matched EFI intake,BBK big throttle body,Mass air conversion kit,30lb inj. I`m running MSD digital 6,billet 5.8 dist. and a MSD Blaster HVC-2 coil,pullys,headers that I welded smog tubes on.Comp roller cam w/roller rockers/stud girdles etc. I changed out the steering column the other day thinking the wiring was bad because awhile back we had this same problem and we fixed it by bypassing the ignition switch with a starter button. It wil run in the driveway but once it gets on the road it might run for 15 min. befor the ignition cuts out. Some times it will start up after a few min. sometimes much longer, now , after I try some kind of a fix and take it out to test it I bring some ice to put on the TFI module.
