wiper motor

can anybody tell me how to test my wiper motor its on the bench there is a red,black, and green wires..

Oh yea and let me know what each wire does too all the wire have been cut and a togle switch has ben in stalled but i would like to do it right . i found a good switch

Paul You will need to use the body of the motor for your - connection and put a 12V hot wire to the black wire first. I have tested them on the truck by holding it to the neg post of the battery to find the correct hot wire.
