Ford, Dodge and Chev. bolt pattern the same? (Wheels)

Disregarding the offset factor, will Ford, Dodge and Chevy wheels work on each other, or do they each have proprietary bolt patterns?

All are 8 on 6.5 I believe. Should be the same from early 80's on till now. Except the newer superduties, they use a metric bolt pattern on 8 lug, so they WILL NOT be compatible with all the others. ALL superduties are like this.

For early 3/4-1 tons yes they all use 8x6.5" (I believe). For 1/2 tons it's a different story. Early Ford Dodge and Jeep used a 5x5.5" pattern and as such are interchangable but Chevy (like always) had to be contrary and do things differntly. Another thing you have to worry about is on early 3/4-1 tons. Ford used a larger hub on their Dana60 rears so a Chevy rim won't fit on a Ford but a Ford rim will fit on a Chevy. I really don't know what Dodge used.

As far as 5-bolt lug patterns, fullsize Fords used a 5x5.5" pattern until '97, I think the F150 has metric patterned lugs now. Jeep's also used 5x5.5" wheels on CJ's and the like. These are directly compatible. Jeep Cherokee's, Grand Cherokee's, and Wranglers are a smaller pattern, I THINK it's 5x4.5 like Rangers. Fullsize Chevy's use a 5x5" pattern, only works on GM products and for some really odd reason, old Lincoln's! I have no clue what the bolt pattern is on a Dodge fullsize.

Rangers, Explorers, and RWD Ford cars (Mustang is all that's left now) use 5x4.5" rims. Chevy S-10's, Blazers, all their midsize RWD vehicles, and alot of their fullsize RWD cars use 5x4.75" rims. Some of their fullsize cars use the same 5x5" pattern as GM trucks.
