EGR Codes
Hey guys...
I've been posting off and on for a couple of days now with what I thought were fuel delivery issues on my '87 F150 302.
Turns out, I wasn't getting fuel pressure at the rail. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator, and now the truck will run, as long as I'm "giving it gas."
The truck won't idle for longer than a couple of seconds.
I've been getting all different EGR related codes.
I've replaced the EVR and the EGR Position sensor.
Today, I pulled off the EGR Valve...and...It was stuck closed. Cleaned off the carbon deposits, and it seems to be moving freely now.
Still getting 34 and 84, both KOEO.
I'm at a loss. What do you guys suggest doing next?

I don't know about "to the rescue" - theres a ton of people in here that know a lot more about this than I do.
I'm just asking questions.
You can check the wires at the back of the connector with the key on - s/b around 10.5 volts.
Pull the valve off and take a look at the o-ring to see that it isn't shot; see if the valve isn't all crudded up with carbon. If it is, that might be keeping it from closing.
Hopefully someone who is a lot better at this will chime in and give you some other suggestions.
