running bad

Unhappy running bad

wall its getting 13 mpg and i get a miss at ideal every other week and will go away when i give it gas and you can small the fuel hard core after worm up out of the ext. i have replaced the icp, oil sensor, fuel injet o-rings, i just did a test on the injet and cly 8 came up 3 times but ford is telling me that it will bc has that goofy one on cly 8. the truck is hard to start in the cold but have new glow plugs and is very loud when at ideal and when driving. it will also seem to miss at first start up ever time for a min. let me know i'm going to be out for a few hours please <-- thats what i keep doing with this

Did you clean the EBP sensor and tubes? This was my problem. My fuel mileage is 18.44 now.


Here is what I found and I cleaned out all the sut. This was an easy task.

Also, your milage may drop now, some fool has decided our diesel needed some additives for the winter. At least they dont charge us more for it, yet..

Have you checked the compression? A miss at idle, then clearing up if you give it throttle doesn't sound good.

I'm still wondering if he has the 10k mod, and if the problems showed up after the injector o-rings, or is this is the problem he's been chasing. Here's a little more info about his truck taken from a thread in the super duty section.
