what gears

My friend just bought a 94 F150 with a 6 inch lift and 35 inch tires on 12inch wide weld wheels. He dosent know the history of it because he bought it at the ford dealership. to be so big thats the stoutest truck ive rode in. it's got a 302 with some kind of chip. There's a blue hose right behind the intake and the dealer said it gives the chip alot more power. I don't know what it is. The truck is a 5 speed and will spin through 3rd. It will really set you back in the seat when you get on it. What gear ratio would it have. and what would the blue hose go to. thanks

what gears

I doubt it will put you in the seat if the gears are stock, so what you'll have to do, is make a chalk mark on the driveshaft where it connects to the U-joint before the rear end. Lift the tires off the ground, and rotate the tire 1 revolution and count how many times the chalk line goes around. If it goes around more than 3 1/2 times, but less than 4, it's 3.73s. If it's just over 4 times, 4.10. If it's 4 and 1/2, 4.56 gears. I'm willing to bet they are 4.10s as 4.56s are a little high and 3.73s are a little low.

Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .

That's it for mods now, saving for a Stang. Check out my Gallery for a look-see.
