Track bar bracket issue need advice

Hello i'm new to this fourm thought this would be the place to drop my question and get some knowlageable feed back. I put a Tuff country 3.5" lift on my truck a month ago it has had major "bump steer" issues ever since the alingment shop told me I needed a drop pitman arm as I figured I would so I bought one and installed it, that fixed the bump steer issue but raised another the pitman arm wacks the track bar bracket when I steer hard left so to fix that problem I put a 1/8" thick u-bolt washer under the front mounting hole between the bracket and frame thus kicking back the bracket slightly towards the rear of the truck seems to work fine my only concern will this weaken the integraty of the bracket and cause a failure or other problems any thoughts would be great

I am not a suspension expert but a washer should not interfer with the integrity of the bracket. Your bolts are doing the work.

Is the bracket perfectly flat where it meets the frame?

The friction between the bracket and the frame is keeping it in place, with the bolts not only providing strength lengthwise, but keeping the friction between the bracket and the frame high to keep it from sliding around. If the washer is smaller than the contact area between the bracket and the frame, you have reduced the friction and it could start sliding around.

Not sure what the bracket looks like, I haven't been under there enough (yet)
