I have a '08 F250 Diesel.4x4 Lariat. What do you guys recommend as the best tuner/chip for this model? I really want to increase perfomance and milage.
If you poke around a bit, there are a few good products for your truck. SCT, Superchips, Edge, Power Hungry (which is us ), Bully Dog, Hypertech, and others all carry programmers for your truck. I'm sure a few folks will pop in here shortly and give you their opinions.
Of course, I'm partial to our programmer which is based on the Edge Evolution. It's a dash mounted monitor/programmer that monitors functions like trans temp and EGTs. It's a little more expensive than the Superchips FlashPaq or Hypertech programmer, both of which are handheld devices. If price is a larger concern than features, then I'd definitely give Superchips a look. Otherwise, an Edge Evolution or our Gryphon programmer might fit your needs.
Give us a shout if you have any questions. We'd be happy to try to point you in the right direction, even if it's to the competition.
As soon as im ready im coming to get a PHP product. Not that their products may be any better than the rest, but Ive been reading postings on their customer service and it seems superior to the rest.
Bill's a nice guy, I can vouch for that - had lunch with him and FTE Jason. Sent me a Gryphon mount for the Roush F150 project truck even though it can't use a Gryphon (for now) because of the calibration ID it uses. (FYI, it was needed as a gauge mount, modified to fit some gauges). Bill is very engaged with the users here, and in my book that counts for a lot. Just finished up an article which includes this mount, hope to have it up soon, after its through editing.

Thanks, Ken! I definitely owe ya on that... Next time lunch is on me. Hope the truck is going well. Holler if you need anything.
