wire harness

Having problems with parking lights not coming on. I took the dash apart and found the plug in for the light switch has been smoked. Off course giggle the wire's boom they come on. My ? is does the wireing harness feed through the dash and plug in somewhere or would it be easier to cut and splice in a new plug.

Most members have cut and spliced in a new plug end....most AP stores have them. This is a well known problem....replacing the switch is sometimes required if the spade terminals are burned badly.
