hello to everyone - NY
I have a couple transmission questions if there is anyone out there that knows the E4OD transmission. I am about ready to rebuild my transmission, I am a novice but I have a friend that works as a Ford tranmission Mechanic at the dealership. He is helping with this project. First, my transmission slips and it does not feel like it has any power, I bought a rebuild kit, will that be enough going on the info that I have given. Second can I just drain and flush the converter or should I buy a new one?

Yup, you can find a person or two at least who knows the E40D forward and backward at this place. I recommend posting in this board: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum69/ You can also post in the board that fits your year of truck. Lots of resources here so be sure to look them over.
