Sounds like the float/linkage is stuck. You MIGHT be able to unstick it by getting the fuel level in the tank up to the float, or slightly past, and putting 2-3 quarts of ATF in it.
Then drive on the other tank for a while, this'll let the fuel/atf combo "slosh" up omn the float and it's hardware while you drive. Might unstick, lube and claen it so it works. Hey, I know it's a long shot but the worst thing that can happen is you'll clean up your tank, line, pump and injectors with the ATF.
Of course this is all assuming it's not an elecrical issue.
