new tires

hi im going to put a set of tread wright mud terrains on my stock 2000 f250 an wanted to kno wats the max tire size i can put on with out rubbing?

Do a search as this has been asked numerous times. You can probably get away with 33"s but 35"s will definately rub.

Type 250 tire size in the search - you'll get plenty of hits.

285/75/16 is a good size for an unaltered SD.

Yep, just put a set of 285/75 - 16s on last Friday. Don't know you can go any larger without the risk of rubbing. The other problem will be if your using stock rims (16x7) 285s are technically too large and need 7.5 or 8 inch wide rims. Some places may not mount 285s on a stock 7 inch rim (Sam's Club).
