hey fellas I have been trying to find info on some emblems that I remember seeing on my granfathers f-150 it was an 84 f-150 single cab long bed 4x2 300i6 w/ standard tranny. I remember seeing emblems on the quarter panels just in front of the tail lights, that looked like this.
Big
...Stick
anyone ever seen anything like this?
I vaguely remember those. I'm thinking it might have been option....just the decals. You might get ahold of an 84 sales brochure...they list the options.
It might have ment zf5spd. or just that it had the standard tranny.
I really would like to find some tho. They would look great on my truck as it reminds him of his old one.
Ford has all sorts of sales promotions throughout the year.
The same one may be nationwide or only in certain areas.
Ford may install special emblems that were only used for these sales promotions.
I say this because I just looked thru the entire 1980/89 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog moulding sections, there are no emblems like that listed, no tape stripes either.
I wonder where you would have heard of the this "Alberta Special" of which you speak?... Admittedly the "Big Stick" sounds pretty cool, like something you should carry while speaking softly...I would like to see a photo of the decal.
