Slight Engine Surge After Shifting
My '02 F250 7.3 with automatic tranny will (most times) have about a 100 rpm engine power surge immediately while shifting into the last gear (not sure if it is OD or just 4th). It will shift and surge 100rpm, then settle down. Happens when cold or hot when accelerating normally. I have the chip set on the tow mode (saving for the DP Tuner someday). Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on what it is or if it is even an issue? Thanks!

I get that once and a while also. There was a thread about this awhile back, no major issues with it. Almost feels like its slipping or a dummy gear between shifts. Others will chime in on their thoughts. Welcome to FTE..
