loose drivers mirror
anyone ever remove the outer panel of the side view mirrors?
i have a 99 with power mirrors and the drivers side is a little loose,i'd like to see if i can find out what is causing this..
really hate to damage the paint trying to pry the cover off,when there is an easier way.

You have to work through the space between the mirror glass and the housing to release the locking tabs. A small flashlight and long thin screwdriver will do it, with a bit of patience. A little double-sided tape or a couple dabs of silicone sealer will keep it tight.

1st photo is the inside of the cover, 2nd is the mirror with no cover ........ that's what you'll have ..........
