Gauge pods

I just bought some ISSPRO gauges and have been looking for gauge pods. All the ones that I have seen are black. No problem, I'm familiar with vinyl paint and it's application. So my question is this: Are these pillar pods replacements for the existing pillar trim? The reason I ask is that in the pictures the pods don't look like they would extend far enough back over the driver's door. My existing piece reaches back almost to the rear top corner of the driver's door glass, as I'm sure they all do.

A majority of the pillar pods fit over the existing A pillar trim, so they do not replace the existing trim, have yet to find one that replaces it for OBS trucks.

You usually drill holes in the stock one and push snaps thru both of them to hold them together. You will also have to drill out the stock one behind the gauges to make room for the gauges and lines.

I just got on flea bay and bought the cheapest one I could find. It works great.
