Me and one of my buddies are getting ready to put an Offenhauser C-Series Intake, Holley 390 cfm 4bbl, and EFI manifolds on his '80 F100 300 I6. We've got gaskets, the manifolds, intake, carb (just finished rebuilding it), studs, and walker down pipe to connect the exhaust pipes. My question is, are we ready to go, or are we also going to need to get a longer throttle cable in order to make this swap. I know its been done before quite often, so I was hoping someone here could help me out.
Also, anyone notice anything else that I'm leaving out here? I'm pretty sure I've got everything I need, but someone else might know better.

As long as the location of tha carb hasn't moved, the original Throttle Cable should be just fine.
Your engine upgrade is something I've been thinking of doing. Would you be willing to post the part numbers for the carb, intake, etc. that you purchased.
This would make it easier for those who want to do the upgrade.
I have a similar set-up, though I'm using a autolite 2bbl. I made a bracket & use the stock cable. It seems to work ok, but it does seem to be a bit on the short side & as a result I've replaced it a few times. I think that one a few inches longer might do the trick. I'm planning on replacing it if/when the current one breaks, but not before. A while back I went on the NAPA site & I think that one of the early EFI 300 cables was similar, but just a little longer. Can't remember for sure though.
