On my 79 150 4x4 long bed reg. cab 4 speed and a 351 i keep eating up u -joints ( about a set a year) on the rear shaft . but my question is this has a 1 piece drive did they come with that or should it have a D.V. ( double volcity joint)
You are refering to a double cardan joint, and yes this was available, and could be an option, but you have to determine the angles of the axle, and output shaft first.
You should also make sure that your slip joint is adequate. A dry joint will eat u-joints in a hurry.
