mud tires vs. mud chains
I've seen cahins go places on an open diff that I wouldn't take a locked truck. The only problem is if you find mud that will clog them up, it's hard and sometimes dangerous, to get the tire speed up enough to clean them. they are definitely made for slow going.

they also take gob's of power in deep mud... if you gotta spin them a bit to clear them. it'll take ALOT of power, they are also hard on driveline parts, cause there's no give on harder ground...
