I have an 89 f150 4x4 5.0 and i am putting on a 6 inch superlift and 3 inch body lift with 36x12.5x15 superswamper tsl radials. Do you think this will work and look okay? also I bought 4.56 gears and I dont know if i should change them or not. I dont know what gears I have in there now but I beleive theyre stock. What do you think of this whole plan?
that should look good, and youll have some flex room for 4wheeling, if thats what your going for. with a 3" body lift you do have to extend your steering linkages and shifters and all of that kinda stuff too. i would go ahead and put in the 4.56's, you will be able to accelerate faster and it will take some stress off the axles but your top end will decrease some.
if you're going to install the body lift while you're down there I would suggest changing your body mount bushings from the stock rubber ones to the urethane ones you will be alot happier. When you get a body lift and just install the lift you're stacking new parts on top of old parts. And the urethane bushings will reduce body roll
PS - do you think I shoud do the body lift once I have some wider tires? because theyre only 12.5s. Will these rub or would just 14.5's rub? If they wont rub I guess i would wait to do the body lift when I have some wider tires. what do you guys think?
i have 33 x 12.5's and a 3" body lift on my f150 and if i turn the wheel the the extreme left and right the tires will rub against the frame. i would extend the wheels out some.

3" body lift and 33 x 12.5" remingtons
3" chrome tube nerf bars
They probably don't rub on the frame but I bet they rub on the radius arm.
