Buying decision predicament-HELP!
I need help with two issues; I am about to buy my 2nd Bronco, which would be a 1993-1996 302cid, E4OD, 3.08 gears, all stock.
My first question is:
-Which makes a better 4WD system: a.Touch Drive system (low range button, etc.) 4WD, or b. manual/shift floor lever 4WD and why?
My second question is: Since in my country 351W-equipped rigs are hard to find, thus a 302 would be what I'd probably get. In that case, and with 3.08 gears, should I compensate torque with lower gears for the 302 (no engine swap viable here) or should I keep stock configuration (302 (5.0), 3.08 gears, E4OD). If I were, say, to install smaller tires (from 31x10.5 R15 to 235-75R 15), will that have a positive impact in torque?.
Thank you all, and let the best man win today!

The 302 in my Bronco has plenty of power. Not sure of the diff ratio though. Why do you need more torque? Are you towing?
I have climbed serious steep terrain on muddy dirt roads and just put it in 4L for that. Again, plenty of power. The later models would be preferred as they have the MAF giving some more oomph and better throttle response.
Good Luck,
George
