Thanks everyone! We had an offroad trip planned for this weekend which I was chomping at the bit to go on, but my sister in law just had a baby so I get to drive 5 hours to Fresno instead.
As for the head stud question:
They pulled the engine and dropped the tranny to do the studs. The mechanic is a friend of mine and he said on the trucks they lift the cab, but on the Ex's they usually pull the engines.
Here's the engine out...
Ex on the lift, camera is where the transfer case lives, looking up into the front of the engine compartment...
Great looking truck! have you started putting together a list for what you want to do next?
Thanks!
Next up are Iron Bull Bumpers with winches and install the Snow Meth kit, then I'm done...for now.
There's a day camp my family has been going to for years, moderately rough trail to get there. It's gotten popular lately and people in their civics and minivans have been attempting the trek. They get stuck and then realize that AAA doesn't leave the pavement, so the Dept of Forestry is having to bail these people out and all the crap they leave behind. The Dept installed some "filter" boulders at the trail head to help solve the problem but made it pretty tough for us - I bottomed out pretty bad. Thus the build up...can't disappoint the kids ya know...
