Do a search on mods and read up on them. Some purport to assist with fuel economy. It's all already here... The 6673 mod is a favorite. Also look here:

The big three never hurts and can be done relatively cheaply, go to your hardware store, pick up 4ga welding wire and 6 ring terminals. If you want to get fancy, get 10' of red and 20' of black. Stack them next to the factory ground and alt wiring.
Decreasing voltage potentials has shown a couple MPG improvement in imports, so it wouldn't hurt to try it. Plus it's a good start for a stereo system.
