Really wanna move into an F150 from my Tundra
#16
Thanks CLG. I took a look at the F150 again today. It was a white SCab FX4 with black leather.
My Tundra when it was stock drove a lot like it in all aspects. The throttle was touchy, which I did by adding those big tires (to my truck) and that helped a lot. Steering was very similar but it went to the Ford.
I guess after driving the F150 I don't think it'd be financially worth it for me to make the switch (especially depending on the outcome of the election).
The good news is, I called Dodge up for sh8ts and giggles and they could pretty much set me up with a Dodge diesel, brand new, for like an extra 6 grand haha.

They didn't have any thing on the lot. I test drove what they had. They had a few Lariats and some work trucks. Tried to just test drive what was in the middle.
I'm looking but won't be trading my truck any more. With the modifications done to my truck, it just wouldn't make any sense.

Dang, that's impressive. I like the FX4 a lot a well so that'd probably be the trim line I'd be looking for anyway.
I was offered 17 "easy" on the phone for my Tundra by the Dodge dealer. He didn't take in account the nearly 3K in mods that should add to the value. The guy said they were low balling that figure so that could only go up in price once they saw it.

Good move, the F150 is the best truck that has ever been made. If your looking at a new one keep in mind the 4.6 in various configurations has been in jd powers ten best engine list several times since its inception. The 5.4 is strong and basically the same engine. My advice would be to get one with limited slip and as much other stuff as you wish to pay for. The frills will make a more comfortable truck for the long haul and offer better faster resale when yoyu decide to move on.

if u are unhappy with build quality of interior parts of yer yota i wld stay away from a dodge, only good thing bout dodge is the cummins. personnaly i wld just run that tundra into the ground and then buy somethin new when she's worn out, 'specially if she isnt breakin down on ya or nothin.... whats the point in wastin ur money if it still gets the job done!

I can tell you from experience that in todays market be prepared for a beat down if you trade. I want to unload my wifes 2007 Jeep Liberty (I know a Tundra hold value better than a Liberty) to get a minivan but we would get next to nothing for the Liberty better to go buy a used van and keep the Liberty.
