Went back to my favorite yard again on Friday. I got the seat I was looking at. While it may not be the cloth seat w/armrest and drinkholder a sheet of plywood would have been better than what I had in there. And ya gotta admit if's in exceptional condition for any truck, let alone one found sitting in a junkyard! And a close match to finding a seat in such good condition was that I was able to score a near perfect dashpad too. All of know how difficult they are to find.
All of the interior pieces are removed and have been painted a darker shade of blue compliments of Dupli-Color. I need to redo the headliner and then can start screwing it all back together now. I was also waiting on the carpet, but it came in yesterday, but won't be home to get until late next week. Starting to get anxious to see all the improvements. Once all done, think I might treat myself to a new radio too. Then off to getting it ready for repaint...
It is a few shades darker than the factory blue, but these pictures were taken at night and with the camera flash it makes it come out very dark. Much darker than it really is.

Don't you mean LIGHTER than the factory blue?
In any case, comparing it to the factory dash color it's not even close.
Doesn't really matter though. It's your truck and as long as you like it, that's all that matters.
ALL of the interior components are going to be painted. I was not going to waste the paint on the dashpad as it wasn't even worth painting. And lo and behold, I found one in excellent shape. It's already painted and ready to go in. The cowl panel between the windshield and the hood is getting replaced tomorrow and I'm also going to install a new radio antenna in. That will also be a good time to replace the windshield pillars as it will be much easier to get them out without the dashpad in the way. When those pieces go back together tomorrow I shouldn't have to remove the dashpad again for some time. The sun had really faded the interior. Underneath of some of the trim pieces it was a much different shade of blue than what ya can see in the picture (old unpainted dashpad) Oh, and the carpet is here too.
