BDS Suspension?

I have a 84 Bronco, I was looking to install a 6 inch suspension lift, but was wondering if anyone here had a BDS system on there truck. If so how do you like it and are there and positives/ negatives. Also maybe you could give me an idea of what you paid.

Thanks
John

BDS Suspension?

i have a BDS 6" lift on my truck. its cost $1300 but that was for everything including RS9000 shocks (expensive). its a great strong lift and they have a really good warrenty, you break you get a new one, no matter what. i bought the lift with the extended radius arms, i heard they dont make lifts with the drop brackets anymore but im not sure. when i bought mine the extended radius arms were an option, that was another cost benafactor.

Did you get the blocks in the back, or did you get the leafs? Also did that include installation or did you do it yourself?

Thanks again

you should be able to get one from your local 4x4 shop, or try national tire and wheel (www.natltire.com), they might carry it.

BDS Suspension?

I worked at a shop that sold BDS stuff, and I have a leveling kit from them on my 91. Nice merchandise, and their policy on replacing broken parts is excellent.

Was it very hard to install, I have heard that compressing the springs up front is kind of tricky. Also can you get a system without blocks and just springs?

Thanks again

since you have an 84, your rear springs might be sagging or worn out. if you have the money, then buy a whole new pack. a new pack with 4 inches of lift will have your bronco sitting level with the 6 inches up front. or you can have a spring shop custom fab new spring packs at any height you want, and they will install them for ya too. this is sometimes cheaper then buying a brand name pack. 4 inches is max for block height. after that you will probably experience axle wrap. i have 3 inch blocks and 2 inch add a leafs on my truck for a 4 inch lift. if you want to get up 4 inches in the back your options are 4 inch blocks and two inch add a leafs or new 4 inch spring packs on top of the factory blocks. as far as the front goes, putting the springs in was the easiest part, its the brackets underneath that are tricky to get into position. it helps alot to have a friend there with you. four hands are better than two.
