Will it fit?

Will a soft tonneau cover from a '99 - '07 Superduty(6.5') fit an '04 FX4 F-150 Supercab(6.5')? Will a Westin Bull Bar from the Superduty fit the F-150?

Also, does the FX4 Scab sit higher than non FX4? Can a levelling kit be put in the FX4? I thought the FX4 sat higher for some reason but the one I just purchased doesn't seem to have the spacers. Higher springs maybe?

Thanks

what type of tonneau cover is it? does it fit in the rails or does it clamp to the top of the rails? if it's the type that sits on top you'll probibly get it to fit. i was told by my buddy who's a manager at napa that all the westin bull bars for 1/2 tons and up are model specific. but that dosent mean you cant modify the brackets to fit.

i think the fx4's do sit higher then the others and yes you can put a leveling kit in, just messure the differnce in fender clearnce and thats the kit you should get, i put a 2 1/2 in mine and it sits dead even but depending on how it's parked it looks like it's bulldoggin

no to the cross fit stuff. frames are way different, but the beds might be similar sizes...measure it all out, but I'm 99% certain they aren't swapable. even if similar, the fit/finish won't be ideal

The FX4 has the same suspension as the normal 4x4. just the shocks are different.

so yes, a leveling kit will fit

Great, thanks. I'll call the dealer on the tonneau cover to be sure. I guess I should have checked a website that sells the bull bar and cross checked the part numbers!

Anywhere I can figure out how to reset the code for the door?

owners manual should have your 5 digit master code and the procedure to reset.

if you don't have the paper with the 5 digit code, it's behind the seat on the back wall of cab on a sticker

No dice on the tonneau cover. The superduty bed is a few inches longer and also 1/2" wider than the f150 bed.

Got the master code and reset with my own code. Easy job!

Couple more questions about my new(to me) truck:

There is a shuddering noise accompanied by vibration when stopped and transmission in 'D'. I figured it out by getting a friend to sit in the truck and listening from outside. When I put my foot on the exhaust canister the noise went away and it came back when I stopped pressing on it. No big deal I'm guessing. Is this common? I'm think a rubber mount or hangar is missing.

The other problem I'm having is that there is a shuddering when driving that seems a little worse when taking a slow turn, like in a cul de sac. I think it is the 4x4 being stuck in one side, or maybe both. When I test drove the truck everything seemed fine. The other night I put it in 4x4 again just to be sure it still seemed Ok(I have 30 days from purchase date where anything will be fixed for free!). When I was driving the next day I noticed the new vibration/shuddering. Figuring it may be the 4x4 I engaged it and heard a hissing noise and a clunk. This happened a few times. I figured by engaging and disengaging the 4x4 the stuck side would pop out. It didn't seem to work the other night but the next day the vibration/shuddering seemed to be gone. I just put it into 4x4 again a few times and the hissing and clunk are gone. I have to bring it in tomorrow morning to get checked and I'm worried they will say everything seems normal and the 4x4 will go when the 30 days is up. Anyone know for sure if it's the 4x4? What will it take to fix? Thanks?
