Hello to all i am a new X posible owner i am looking at a 2001 -2 wheel drive XLT with a 5.4 and 85000 miles on it, it is a real nice truck, what can i expect for MPG and i only want it to cruise with me and my dog and camping gear, the dealer is asking 11500 for the truck, any thoughts would be great.
Shop around, you should be able to find a much better price. Look for a V10 that gets virtually the same mileage (10/15). For that price you could almost get a diesel.
I would agree that's way too much money for an 01 2WD and 5.4 maybe $8500 if it's real nice, if you not towing the 5.4 is OK but if you plan on towing a Travel Trailer you will need a V10 or diesel, Good Luck
I have an 01 with the 5.4 amd I agree that that is too much. Mileage will be about 16 hiway and 12 around town. We tow a 6500lb travel trailer and it does well. We ahve towed all over SC and the mountains of westeren NC and to Fla and back this year and had plenty of power. Thats with 2 adults and 6 kids in the EX. If you can get it for a better price I say go for it.
i have a 03 v10 with 102,000 mi on it and ill let it go for 8500. all leather pwr everything. look at the pics in the classifieds. its located in south tx
I agree with the crowd...I just sold an '01 Limited 4X4...V-10...new brakes and tires...no dings...dents...scratches...rips...tears...83K miles for $7990.
You should be able to buy this one for much less!!!
Thanks for all your advise guys , i will keep looking for another one i offered the dealer 5500 and he siad no way, i will see what he says in a couple of months if he still has it and i have not found another one.
