I just got a set of the new BFG mud terrains, they are sweeet. I finally have some pics of them in the gallery I actually got around to creating (digital cameras are so neat). They are 35x12.50x16.50. They mounted nicely, are perfectly balanced (unlike swampers, yuck) and ruled in the mud out on the farm. I would highly recommend them to all who are torn about which new tires to get for Christmas!
Despite my feelings on the BFG's, they look good on your truck!
Question about your truck - the 2" lift... Springs or body lift? I like how your truck sits on the 35" tires.
Those look real nice. Are those rims AR 39s? I was thinking about getting the same exact rim/tire package from ntwonline.com....
I have a 96 F250 with a 460, and its nice to see a similar truck look so good wearing them. Do you have any problems with the 16.5 inch rim?
I have an add a leaf in the front spring pack that yeilded about 1 to 1.5" of lift. The bumper is also spaced out 1" to prevent the outer lugs of the BFG's from rubbing on the bumper edge. Gonna get my 6" Skyjacker kit soon... (Santa are you listening?)
Captain_Fantastic I would highly recommend going with the 16" rims. When I had swampers on there I aired them down to 12 psi and in a slow turn through the sand the bead blew and the tire came completely off the rim. 16.5" rims suck. The good part was I got to try the ole starter fluid bead reseat trick, worked out way coller than on the discovery channel!
Hey man, I got the same tires (size and rim size too) on my F-350. They fit stock but I too put on an add-a-leaf on the front, but that was mostly to help out with the extra weight of my bumper.
Anyway, your truck looks good! Glad you like your tires, I've been running them for a while and realy like them. But I have to say, mu next set of tires will be all terrains This 250-300 miles per day stuff is killing them muds
