Help! My bronco is sitting in a praking lot and has been for two days now. Got back in it to leave and it will crank but it won't turn over. Narrowed the problem down to what we belive is an electrical problem with the fuel pump. We manually ran juice to the in-line high pressure pump from the battery and it turned on fine and caused pressure to build in the fuel rail ( wich was not there before hand). We are having a little trouble locating the relay for it as well. We also cannot trace the wire from the high pressure FP to it's relay. Yes I also have the HAYNES book and it is of very little help. I really need to get it out of this lot before it is towed. Any one have any suggestions other than blowin' it up?
There is another topic a few spaces away dealing with the same type of issue. First, check the cut off switch (pass. side cab near transmission hump) and check the relay, which is on the pass. fender under the hood
i recently had the same problem, it was a little wire connected to the positive terminal of the battery and i has a clip that is real flimsy and broke off give that a shot
On mine there is a ground wire from the battery negative terminal that goes into the wire loom. It has a connector that looks similar to an round fuse holder. I think it goes to the relays. Not sure though. I know if it's unplugged or has a bad connection, The fuel pump won't work. Maybe that's what "five o" is thinking.
