My best trip was over the Rubicon in the early 70's in the daily driver while on vacation..1970 Toyota LC FJ-55 with 10" white spokes,Man-a-fre headers,Rochestor 2-GC carb and an aft mkt Dist.. It also had a Warn 8K winch,can rack for 4 jerry cans.. Before my son rolled it at 16 years,it had 250K and still running strong...

The radio is a Yaesu FT3000M, that has been modded.
I can listen/talk to all the persons likely to be out there, hit the
repeaters, and talk simplex to my buddies from quite a distance...
...like from my house near the Ocean in Orange County to Barstow.
