Hello everyone, need help on tires. Little info 08 f 250 just got it. Got the lift kit got the rims got the intake I want but im stuck on tires, also got the programmer I'm getting. Tire size I want is 35-12.5-18R, 4 wheel parts has a buy 3 get one 1 free on procomp tires sale ends on the 31st, so i dont have alot of time left. Looking at the A/T tire but like everyone else I know a guy who has had bad luck with them, also have heard loads about them. I guess what my question i really want Bf good wrench A/T or M/T but really dont wanna spend 350 a tire. what comes close to those tires at 275 or lower and how bad are the procomps which are around 175 a tire. Plus you get one free. Any and all info would be great. thx
Have you looked at the Toyo M/T Excellent tire, for a traction it gets great milage, traction and is pretty quiet. The look is very cool also. They do run a little moore but I have seen every tire out there and they are in the top 2. As far as the one that are 175 you get what you pay for.
I recently lifted my 03 F250 with a Skyjacker kit and put Nitto 325/65-R18 tires on the truck. With the tread I was expecting a lot of noise, but I canot hear a difference. Maybe the engine is just to loud to hear the tires.
I've only put about 200 miles on them so far but they are great. They are D rated but I have no intention of towing or carrying anything that needs 3500 pounds in the back.
My uncle hasn't had problems with the pro-comps with the sod trucks he drives. Pro Comp is a decent brand, quality wise you will probably find better but not at their prices. I didn't care much for my BFGs, but I am very pleased so far with my Toyo OC MTs. They aren't as loud, don't slip as much and didn't effect my mileage.
The nitto's are not bad, but they wear out faster than the toyo m/t. Nitto is accually a sub brand of toyo. The differences in the tread and the rubber compound are what gives them the biggest difference.
