Evans waterless coolant

Has any used Evans Waterless coolant in their truck or know of anybody that has used it and what they thought of it? Roy

It's good stuff, but dang it's expensive!

PS - Check this out: Evans Coolant. It looks like some guys who switched to Evans are reporting higher tranny temps.

hmmm good read. I still run green with SCA. Trucks old and beat up + that stuff is expensive as hell!

Drain, flush, and refill with an ELC! No more checking of SCA levels or pouring in additives for the LIFE of your rig!

Our company recently received some ELC with a new radiator and other parts to repair about $9000 worth of damage (another story) to our IH dump truck w/ Cat engine. The 4 gallons of coolant they sent was the Fleetrite ELC in concentrated form (still needs to be cut with demineralized water). Our cost was ~$22/gal. If it meets IH & Cat specs, then that's good enough for me. I believe I can get it for less than $22 and will be using the Fleetrite (one of the recommended coolants in the Diesel Stop post)on my next coolant service. On the jug it says it is good for 300k miles and 600k if extender is added after the initial period.
