just be cautious if their install involves crimp fittings..... i would guess it does, and that is why the install times are so short.

I Had The Ford Remote Start/alarm Combo Installed Last January. It Works Great, Have Had No Problems. The Alarm Has A Glass Break Sensor, tilt Sensor And Door Sensors. The Horn Is The Siren. You Also Have Extra Imputs So You Can Tie Your Hard Tonneau Cover Into It. There Are Also Two Extra Accessory Buttons On The Combo Remote, You Can Have One Control Your Power Windows, Another To Open Your Sun Roof , Or Open The Tonneau If You Have Electrical Assist.
One Remote Replaced The Keyless Entry And Combines Alarm And Autostart.

I Had It Dealer Installed In Boston,Ma. @ $500.00 With Tax. It Came With 2 Remotes

Im not sure if it included a alarm for what I was quoted..
Do you have the model # or anything.

Industrialjunk.. how much did you pay for your autostart.

I was thinking 500.00 was a little salty, considering I got a quote for 325.00 for a aftermarket one. But didnt really want to screw up my factory warranty.

If I recall it was just under $200.00 I bought the silver package they have 3 bronze, silver and gold each with more options. You aslo need a PATS thing that goes with it.
I'll see if I can find some PN's in the AM for you.

$500.00 seems high to me unless they are taking to an aftermarket shop that is going to take the time remove the pins and solder and heatshrink the wires in place then reinsert the pins back into the plugs. If they are gonna use Scotch-locs and electrical tape then stay away. Ask to see other installs they have done or are doing.

I dont think they were going to take it an aftermarket shop, cause the day I was there asking the SM about it he called the parts guy and he told them they had either kit (but didnt tell me if it was a bronze, silver or gold) . Then the SM asked the mech about install and how long and he said he could do that day. So if they were going to in aftermarket shop seems to me they wouldnt have said that they could do it that day.

I had the factory starter installed on my Dads 07 F150 and my 07 Sport Trac. We love them. Total cost was around $400 for each unit w/2 key fobs and it is covered by the factory warranty. They were both a plug and play unit so there was no need to cut any wires. Even if the unit does go bad later down the road all we should have to do is replace the unit(from what the service guy said).
