Chiefgunrsm8 - I don't know crap about diesels - but there is a class-action on the Ford 6 liter one. When I was looking I avoided that one. I think the bigger ones are OK and there is probably a bunch more info in the tech forums. I just joined before you, but wanted to do my little bit in helping out the "new guy" - LOL!

65 E-100 upgrades
I would appreciate any help on upgrading my 65 E-100 6 cyl. 240 manual
1. power steering swap
2. A/C install
3. manual to automatic swap prefer OD
4. air ride suspension, I am trying to decide between frame mount and shock mount, two leaves have already been removed and I think I can go another 2"
before I have frame contact issues
5. wheels I need some 15" steel wheels that have slightly more offset, I will be covering them with spun aluminum full moon discs
6. need a Grant steering wheel adapter for classic nostalgia series
I am no stranger to fabrication see pics on my face book page Evan May & Evan"s Custom Motorcars &https://sites.google.com/site/evanscustommotorcars/
Thanks
Evan

Hi there from NY
Really new this this forum, hope I'm in the right place for introductions. My name is Jim, I'm living in Monroe NY (bout 1 hour north of NYC). Just bought a 2012 F-250 XL. My first new Ford. I'm probably gonna have questions about the truck soon. So far love it. I gave up my 05 silverado for this ford. Heard great things and have a feeling they're true.

Hello folks, I've been a Ford Owner/Enthusiast for many years. Was here few years ago, under a different id, searching for answers with deep satisfaction. Owned a 79 Ranger and a 93 XLT Supercab back then. Now I own a 77 Ranger XLT 4X4 and 06 FX4. Looking foward to conversing with ya'll about our Awsome Rides. I have pics posted if you're interested in taking a look at my babies.

Howdy!
Hey All.. Just introducing myself. I have a F350 C.C LB Dually 7.3PSD It was my fathers, he bought it brand new in 1998 - He originally wanted that "purple" but was told, it wasn't available in the CC/LB option, for whatever reason. He ended up getting the Autumn Orange. It has only 67K miles on it - yes, i know she is barely broke in. Will post photos soon. I took it over a few years ago - have some minor work done to it. Has CAI/4" exhaust from banks/upgraded turbo. I'm looking into upgrading the programmer.

Finally getting around to this thread, sorry about the breach in protocol lol. I have been a long time lurker, and first posted several years ago about my 1995 Lightning, which I still own. I just sold my 1996 F150 SB that had 195000 on it and was still running and driving like a champ. Just recently bought my first Diesel, a 2001 F350 CCLB 4x4, which I love. Learning a lot about how diesels work from you all and I thank you.
Cheers!
Cheers!

I drive these 6.0 diesels every day at work. With low miles not bad but once you get close to 200k they have issues. Cold start sucks, constant head problems and a lot of egr issues. The have a lot of power and pull GREAT but I personally wouldn't want to own one. I pull a nearly 10,000 lb trailer with a 2wd reg cab xl an they really don't fall down much in the hills. I have to say that I'm impressed by that.
