I recently purchased an 86 F250 XLT Lariat and decided to quit lurking and join. The truck is in pretty rough shape and I got it to have a project. Not show quality, but we'll make it look decent and run better than it currently does.
Engine is a 460, granny 4 speed, with 4x4. Looking forward to the build!
New member from North Dakota. Bought a 2000 F350 crewcab with the Triton V10 a few months back. Love the pickup. No real questions now but if anyone has any pointer or things they have done to it, feel free to let me know. Thanks guys!
I'm Ryan - unfortunately, my problem with my F250 brought me to this forum to search for similar issues (which I found others had them too....bittersweet). Hope to learn a lot, as this is also my first diesel.
Not new to Ford pickups. I have owned several models ranging from 67, 70, 72, 73, 85, 01 and 08. They all have been great pickups. My favorite was the 73 long bed F100. It had a 428cj engine. It was a base corvette eater.
Hey guys , I'm new here. I have a 78 F150 Ranger Explorer with a 351m , long bed , 4x4 . So I'm hoping to pick a few of your brains . Right now I'm having an supposed over heating problem. At least that's what the gauge says. I have put a 2 new sending units on , new thermostat, new heater core and new heater core hoses, oh and I put a new gauge on it . So now when I cold start the motor it takes about 6 min and the gauge is pegged on hot and the radiator is so hot you can't touch it! Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks!
Just joined because the wife decided that her current pickup was to big to run to the store or bar. She just bought a 47 1/2 ton and I'm in charge of maintenance. It's a running driving ex colorado farm truck. 6 cyl almost original with practically no rust. Modifications include 12 volt conversion, electronic ignition and a home made wiring harness. First project will be getting the temp and fuel gauges working but that should not be to hard. Full maintenance also to be done. Looking forward to lots of information and parts sources. The 69 L71 Vette is already getting jealous.

Just signed up and wanted to say hello. I have a 2003 Navi and a 2009 MKS. Have owned several other Fords and Mercs in the past. Was a GM fan for a long time since I grew up in Warren, MI, near the GM Tech Center. GM sold me one too many piles of junk over the years and I finally switched over. I have been a Ford fan ever since!
