Towing a 5th. wheel trailer.
I'm planning to purchase a 5th wheel trailer that has a GVWR of 15,000 lbs.
I want your opinions on pulling it with a F250 6.7 Diesel.
The published max 5th. wheel towing is 16,100 lbs but I wondering if there is enough safety to climb serious hills like the 'grape vine' between South and Northern California. That is a 6% grade that goes for miles.
Thanks.

Erwin's introduction
I'm not sure if I'm doing this right. My name is Erwin. I'm from southern Ontario. We've got Ford trucks here, but not in my garage at present. Did have a '72 Econoline and a '68 3/4 ton years ago. Maybe I'll get back to another '69-'74 Supervan if the right one comes along. Anyway, glad to be here. Thank you.
I have been digging on here for some answers for a while. Finally joined. Had a truck question I couldn't find an answer. Been driving Fords for quite a while. Right now we have a 72 F100, 88 F250, 88 F250 lariat, 97 F250 Powerstroke and a 98 Expedition. Kind of new to the diesels so learning a lot about them.
I just picked up the 88 F250 Lariat and it needs paint and a little work. Need to get my trailer put back together and then the truck is next.

Hello everyone
I'm new to the super duty world but not ford trucks, or the forum. I just picked up this 08 f250 yesterday with 62k miles. A 5.4 v8 and sitting on 35s. It sure makes my f150 look tiny lol.
Anyways I am having a new 5.4 put in next week, its cam phasers are making noise and or the vct valves, and I like knowing I will have a 100k mile warranty on the engine. I already ordered a bit of parts/accessories for it that will be put on next week as well.
Also as you can tell I have a thing for white xl trucks lol and I have named it Goliath.

F-250 6.7
Just picked up our new 2015 F-250 6.7 and got out of town. Truck is awesome and we are towing a Rockwood 2304DS. We love both of them. Our first "shake down cruise" to South Padre Island. Our next trip is to Big Bend. We are new to this whole scene. I retired two weeks ago and i love it. Should have done it sooner. We take our two dogs and head out and want to see more of this country. Best wishes to all.
