Carb issue, and I don't mean dietary carbs

Senix,It appears that my OE 2brl carb Autolite, which I think is #2100 is leaking around the accelerator pump cover. I'm not mechanical but wonder if simply removing the four screws and replacing the gasket there will correct the issue. Is rebuilding a carburetor difficult,or is there more to it than what meets the eye?

Talking Hey all

Hey Guys, Been lurking for awhile researching, made my purchase and I think I did well.
2002 F-250SD 7.3 with 78k on her. 6" lift, Mickey Thomson Baja MTZ, full Banks Power Pack. Intake, Exhaust, Turbo, intercooler, tranny and engine tuner.
This also had factory camper and off-road package.
Just waiting to get some new rims and road tires for better mpg, looking at some 26lb 17" for the general grabber HTS 315x70R17. LRR tires, hopefully I'll pick up 3-5mpg with nice easy driving.
I did 16mpg on 300mi road trip hoping to up that (that's with the mud tires!).

I'm thinking a front skid plate from the bumper past the steering assembly would help with air flow but that will have to wait.

Didn't even have a chance to lurk. Grew up in a GM family, got my first Ford a 2001 E350 14 passenger.....man, that sucker passed everything but a gas station. Used it for long haul trout fishing and hauling, vacations, So bought another last November, a 350 11 passenger, two sons more or less moved out. This was a lease return. Several days after I got it, I went into the hospital......I only drove it home. Anyhow got out in March, finally got my drivers lic last week and have been reacquainting with the van. I have many questions, matter of fact, I was looking for bolt sizes when I found your site........so Ill ask those later......I think I'm glad to be here, place looks great

later...Leev

Post Newbee

I have already got allot of great advice from "younz" (that is how we say you all in Pittsburgh). Thanks

Iv'e got a 01 X, XLT, 4x4, 5.4L, 4.10 gears, 80K miles.
with Min. Mods. K&N, Rancho 5000's, added OEM Fog lights, Took off the stupid Exh. resonator, added all new front Ball joints, Tie Rods, Dual Steering Stab. I pull a 32' 9K pound TT. Yes I'm trying to kill the 5.4 but so far no luck...it actually does really well if I baby it. Looking to add a Rear sway bar and replace the worn out shocks- generally beef up the suspension so I don't have to fight with it anymore! I would also like to add a few more ponies to help pull the trailer- maybe a programmer?? True duals? Any advice besides blowing it up and getting a 7.3 would be appreciated.

Smile New here

Hi, New here cruzin' around the site checking it out. I recently purchased a 2001 F-350 CC LB, V10 with 70.5k on it. Coming from a chevy side, I needed new truck and was looking into Fords(also own a 1978 Bronco) and really liking the look of 1999-2003.I wanted a diesel but low miles are hard to come by. Found my truck red in color and all except diesel so picked it up for $16k could not be happier.
Have a few question but another time is fine.

Hello, All:

My name is Devon Lenahan. I am a longtime lurker. I sell Fords at Cavalier Ford. I just sold my 2000 Ford Excursion. I'm going to miss it but it served it's purpose. I am currently working toward getting an F-150 King Ranch. It might take a little while but I think it will be worth it. If you have any questions don't hesitate.

Hi Y'all,
I am new to the forum and just recently purchased a 05 F-350 Flatbed with 146,673 it runs well and I got a good deal, but there may be a reason for that?! We needed a farm truck! I originally had an 08 2500 Cummins Ram Mega Cab, loved it!!!, lost it to an accident so this is the vehicle to replace it and also no truck payment! Looking for help to fix what may ail it and make it a solid runner. Thanks beforehand to all the help!

Hey there. I'm Dick from Connecticut.

I currently have an '02 F-350 with the 7.3 powerstroke and the lariat package. I've had numerous ford trucks, and this is my second 7.3.

On the down side, it's black and a short bed. It has Ford Fender well rust and one of the rear doors has some rust. Hate the rust, love the truck.

I have found that membership in groups such as this is worth quite a bit. I find more knowledge and advise on these sites then I do asking Ford themselves.

I value opinions, and input on all topics.
