Welcome to all the new folks. Question for you TheSmitty, what ariframe did you crew? But if you are talking about a 2012 F350 then all I got is a hearty welcome to FTE, from one ol crewchief to another.
Mech/Crewchief/Flight Engineer/Door Gunner/D/N/NVG on UH-1, UH-60 A/L, S-61 (long and short), Mi 17.
I retired in 08 as 15T4F. I held/hold 67V, 67N, 67Y, and finally 15T. Hands down best time of my life but I find the Blackhawk FAR simpler to diagnose than this f'ing ford!
I too started as a 67T (but my 1st unit I got assigned too did not have Blackhawks). So I got to wrench on UH-1's/OH-58 A&C and even AH-1's. Yes Cobra's were still flying, heck we still had S-64's Skycrane's being flown (by the NG) on the shared flight line at HAAF. I retired in 06 as a 15T.
Old Ford truck trouble shooting beats trying to locate a bad pin filter on a SDC on a T700 or on a stab amp.

I have a E99 F350 7.3 powerstroke with a 4r100. Stock suspension, wheels and tires; leaf spring dana 60. Has a 4" exhaust, not sure if the downpipe is stock. Just replaced the alternator with a mechman. I swapped out the tie rod with a TRQ non greasable, installed steering damper, added 3 degree wedges (4x4 still feels fine), installed a redhead steering box.

Hi guys -
Im new to the forums, but not new to Ford. I have a 2019 F-250 STX that I'm hoping to learn how to make some cosmetic updates to it from the forums. I also have my dads old 1990 F-150.
I've noticed a lot of new people posting in the OASIS request thread, and while I want to welcome each and every one of you to FTE, I don't want to do it in that thread.
So, WELCOME to FTE!
Whether or not you've recently joined or been lurking for years, POST HERE and introduce yourself!
Hi guys. My name is Rob. I’m new of course and excited to learn and read about things that can help me with my 2015 6.7 F350 Dually that my family has named Larry. I’ve watched a lot of videos that have given great info. But I’m now stuck on a subject that I havnt resolved yet. That is, speedo. Correction. I’m on 37” Toyo Open Country A/T that don’t measure 37” tall like a mud. Therefore the circumference is of course smaller which I hope helps me. I have forscan and have read through some of Zoo Dads post that talk about numbers not to exceed. I’m just nervous about changing numbers and asking things to relearn. Here’s a pic of Larry
I have a small 80 acre in Michigan and support my wife's alpacas habit. I love old and new equipment and enjoy using all of it. My newest acquisition is a 1953 F600 that was a grain truck in its younger days. I have had many Fords over the past 50 or so years, My first ford was a 1968 F100 camper special I think. It was actually my dad's, but I drove the heck out of it. My own car later was a Galaxy 500 two door fastback and I loved it. If I remember it had a 351 Cleveland and it had a huge back seat which me and my girlfriend tried out, the day before I went into the army. Down the road, I stuck to trucks again. Over the past 20 or so years, it has been a 2008 F250 Superduty, 2011 -F150, 2017 - F250 and currently a 2022 F350 Platinum. My latest acquisition is a 1953 F600 that was a green truck, and will end up being our farm truck. It does run, but the tank has bad unleaded gas, sediment in the bowl and probably need a carburetor rebuild. The v8 flatty sounds good, no knocks are unusual noises. Anyways I look forward to using it on the farm.
I have driven ford vans for years as an electrician, and now I have a f350 with the 7.3 for the farm that we purchased a couple of years ago. I also purchased a Ford 960 tractor that I really enjoy out in the field. We now have 3 American milking devons and hope to have 10-15 for a small breeding operation. I am glad to join as it seems harder and harder to get good info on Google due to the flood of ai generated articles that give you the history lesson you didn't want.
thanks for keeping it real.
Sandy

Current 2023 Super Duty owner and I love it! I don't love the insurance or the inability to work on it myself (warranty). I'm quite certain I will be buying a 2000ish F-350 with the 7.3 PS soon. I joined to learn more, as I am sure I will have many questions. Thanks for having me!
