NEW MEMBER Introduction Thread (NO TECH QUESTIONS)
Hi Guys,
I bought a 75 F250 Highboy with a stock 390 in March. It's been sitting in the AZ desert for a long time. I replaced all brake lines, window seals, hydraulic steering cylinder, plugs, wires, cap / rotor. Ran like a top. Two day ago about 100 yards out of the driveway it caught on fire. From what I could tell it looked like the fuel line into the carb failed - although not sure. I replaced everything that melted, and started in the driveway. Ran perfectly. I let it idle for 20 mins, and everything was fine. Took it for a test drive and doing about 30 and the engine died. Tried to start it, and the engine turned over as if no fuel or spark. Coasted home. Once home I tried to start it, when I turn the key, it just "clicks". Feels like the starter is trying to engage, but engine won't turn over. Any suggestions would be great. Not sure where to start with this one...

Im a newb looking for my second 70s f250. I just sold my last one and I want to find a super cab this time around, so I can get my kids in the back. I wanted to contact a seller about this truck but I think I am supposed to have more posts. Does anyone know how many posts I need to use the classified section?
Newb
Hi all, newbie here from Oklahoma. Making the transition to a F350 from a Ram. Owned Rams for a long time so this will be a new adventure for me. Wife has drove Fords forever and has finally talked me into giving it a try in a truck. Ordered a 350 back in December and still waiting....lol. Along with everyone else sounds like. Hope to learn a little here just like I have over the years on the motorcycle forums.

Long time Ford Man
I'm a Ford Man for sure, though not exclusively. I'm more of a "vehicle man" who has owned a lot of Fords!
My first car was a 64 T-bird that had been T-boned by a Border Patrol agent in hot-pursuit of someone, hitting an innocent motorist broadside. I picked it up for $25 at age 16 and drove it through HS with a replacement door that wouldn't open (entered through the window, Dukes of Hazard Style, but long before them).
After that I had a 65 Fairlane wagon, a 68 F100, a 73 Maverick, an 80 Ford Courier (Mazda), a 84 F150 4x4, a 88 F250 4x4, a 93 full size Bronco, then the 49 F6 Grain Dump! Along the way I owned at least a dozen non-fords including a 47 Vintage airplane, a dozen motorcycles, a kubota tractor, and now an EV. I've had Nissan, Toyota, and Dodge trucks as well. EAch for their own "good reason" at the time.
I bought my 49 Dumper by accident the first time I went on E-bay. I'd seen an old dumper like this on the highway for sale in 2003 so I decided to do an internet search to see what they were worth... and found the 49 F6 on e-bay having been bid up to about $1000 with only a few days left. By the time I was done I'd bought it for several times that price. It was only about 400 miles from me and the owners had agreed to deliver it halfway with the understanding that *I* would be driving it the rest of the way home. They were the sons of the original owner, who had bought it during the 49 Wheat Harvest in E. Colorado when the 1930s truck they were using broke down. These guys inherited it, along with the farm in the 70s, replaced the Flathead with an early 60s ford smallblock from some kind of farm equipment. They kept it on the farm as a utility vehicle for another 30 years until *they* were ready to sell the farm and retire.
I've hauled a lot of firewood, manure, and wood chips in this beast but I'm ready to pass it on. I parked it after a significant fuel leak about 6 years ago and it is now just "yard art" waiting for someone else to give it another chapter in its life!

Hello - am 85 and have no idea what I am doing here. For all I know I am in the wrong place and nobody will probably read this. I tried posting in a parts wanted thing but can't because I am new to this site I guess. Don't know. Anyway we have been a Ford family for many years and the last one I have is a 1986 Ford Club Wagon XLT with a 351HO engine and automatic trans. It is a special car to us that we sleep in when on small trips (fold down rear seat and captains chairs) and we tried going on a trip a couple weeks ago and the van wouldn't move. Found out that someone had stolen the entire drive shaft - it's a 2 piece unit. Have called all around trying to get one and can't find any - so - I am in need of one. Please contact me if you can help. Kind regards, Richard

Hello. New, proud, and totally inexperienced owner of a 71' f250 Camper Special. It runs, but needs a bunch of work having sat for most of the last 20 years. I've got four sons, and since the oldest will be off to college before too long, I wanted a project for us to work on together. I look forward to checking in, searching the threads, and learning a lot. Thanks!
Long Time Ford Owner
I have owned Ford vehicles for the last 33 years. I bought my first Ford truck in 2003, it was a 350 with the 6 L diesel. At around 50,000 miles it started eating injectors so I ended up picking up a brand new at the time 2013 350 with the 6.7 diesel, I still have that truck and in 21 I also picked up a Ranger as my daily driver, I had been driving a Flex before that.
I live in central arizona, although they call it Northern Arizona and one of the things I enjoy doing is hiking, I'm also an avid fisherman although there isn't much of that around these parts! LOL

Hello all!
Long time lurker, first time poster. Bought my '05 CCLB F350 in 2015, so i've read this forum for awhile now, and i've learned a lot on here! Honestly, I'm surprised it took me so long to make an account.
Yes, i'm the same doofus that goes by this name over on Powerstroke.org, so thanks in advance for dealing with my shenanigans on here too LOL.

I acquired a 1999 Super Duty with the 7.3, AT, long bed and standard cab from the original owner. It has 80,000 miles with little to no maintenance. I changed the oil with filter, coolant, front dif, rear dif, and transfer case fluids. Air filter, diesel filter, brake lines, pads, calipers and rotors changed. Fixin to do the AT fluids and filters. Changed the glow plug relay and the crank position sensor. Took the steering column apart and reinforced the insulation around the OD wire. Will add the Mashimoto trans cooler with fluid change. Repaired a few interior parts.
Next I plan on adding gauges. I like the way the a-pillar gauges look but it would be nice to have digital that log data. Not as interested in increasing hp as just knowing what my truck is doing and when it does it. Added a tough country steering damper getting ready for a 4 inch suspension lift with shocks and 33" tires. I put a camper shell on the long bed. I need ideas on how to securely carry firearms for hunting and self-defense when I pass through states that aren't gun friendly.
I need a dependable vehicle that will take me across country, down range and back.
Suggestions would be appreciated.
