Large winter tire sizes

I have 235/75/15 firestone winterfire's and I love them. But i'm planning on a 6" lift with 35s and 4.10 gears. I want to have winter tires but with 4.10s the 235s are a little small. 31s would be ok or even 32s. I would like to find some 33/9.5 or 10.5" tires but I dont think they make them. Have you guys seen any good winter tires that are 31-32-33"s? I can't find any, I looked at firestone and I looked at the tire rack. Thanks.

Primary rig is Green Thunder:

Look at the TireRack's snow traction ratings for off-road tires in the sizes you're interested in. Some of the more agressive A/T truck tires make pretty fair snow treads. Unless you live somewhere like Buffalo where they get buried in the white stuff every winter, you won't need to go beyond A/Ts into mud tires, nor do you want to. Mud cleats are good in deep snow but in most areas they do enough road maintenance that light snow over ice is the more normal driving condition. On ice, traction comes from the tread edges, the more linear inches of tread edge you have in contact with the ice the better. For that typical all-season radials are good, but they become less useful when there's snow on top of the ice.

Have you researched

Cooper ATs

or

Wild Country XTX (i have these - don't know the rating but they have lots of biting sipes and running at 40 psi they are real flexible. Mine are 31x10.50x15)

or
ProComp ATs (severe weather rating in lots of big sizes?)

If you want a tire for ice and snow, the green diamond retreads in 33s look awesome at:
http://www.high-tec-retreading.com/
I would be driving on these already if I had not moved to GA.

I don't want to sound like "thanks for the useless info" so don't get me wrong, I appriciate the posts, however to me an all terrain doesn't cut it. I'd rather just run my 235's instead but they are a little tough on 4.10 gears. 31's would help. Scroll down this thread and see the picture of my tires, https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/DCForumID120/1956.html

They are pretty nice and my main concern is packed snow/ice. I don't care about deep snow as I have 4x4 and have enough traction to get me moving but I'm worried about turning and stopping. I got in an accident because I just barely hit someone with regular crap all terrains and if I had the snow tires on there that I have now I would have missed him by a mile. These snow tires will destroy my BFG mud terrains in the snow.

i had a friend who was running 265 75/r15's, i dont' know where he go them, but they were about 32" high, and alot narrower then standard 32" tires... good for snowy roads, and they'd fit your stock rims

You didn't look very hard at the TireRack's web site. The Bridgestone Winter Dueller DM-X2 is available in 31 x 10.50QR15C.

Large winter tire sizes

I was able to find the sizes in 265/75's so thank you. I guess I did miss the 31s, sorry about that. But now my choice is between the Bridgestone Winter Dueler DM-Z2 which i know is a good tire, and the wintermaster plus. The Bridgestone is twice the price so I have a feeling I'll go with the wintermaster but i'll have to look at the funds and go from there. Thanks.

I would like to be able to run 4.56's which will be good for me on the 35s. But in order to do that I need a 32" or bigger winter tire. 32" would run me 2500 rpm at 65 on the highway, I dont like but I'm hardly ever on the highway so I'd be ok. Are there any popular sizes in 16" wheels that would be 32-33's? I don't know my metric tires. If not, I either run 35s all year round on 4.56s or I get 4.10s and stick with a smaller winter tire.

If you are talking about cooper wintermaster+ Those tires are great... they are noisy.. but what do you expect out of a winter tire?

They did get decent reviews, but they arn't as good as the bridgestones. However those are twice the price of the coopers.
