no fuel?

94 F250 7.3 IDI. Starts easy in the morning. After warm up its very hard to start after setting for 30 min or more. Starting to run the 1 year old batteries down now. Had the IP checked and ok. It runs well otherwise. I have rechecked the fuel return lines and see no leaks. Can it be lift pump not filling the filter? Does it settle fuel overnight so it starts off easy in the morning. Any help?

If it starts easy in the morning, no stalling after a few seconds but is then hard to start when the engine is warm, unfortunately I am going to say the IP is about shot.

Usually it's the other way around. What did they check on the IP? If it won't start when warm, you can check to see if it's the IP by pouring WARM water on the IP. This cools the housing and tightens up the tolerances. If it starts the IP is bad/worn out. NOTE, this is possibly a ONE SHOT test. If it cools the IP too much the shaft might sieze and break and you'll lose any core value it had. You might want to recheck the return lines and maybe check the pressure at the filterhead.
