OK so i have these wiring problems and i have a 1997 f150 4x4 ext cab 4.6L all the sudden things started to go wrong when i turn the headlights on the signal lights light up and the dash lights go out .... as well with lights off and then i turn the heater on the relay buzzes and causes the same problem ... when they are off both lights and heater i have signals but not when they one or the other are on.... I was told by the dealer that if i change out the gem with another gem ( not numbers matching) it would not matter it would tell me if mine was faulty ok so i did this and nothing same thing .... any ideas or where to start with this i need my truck before it gets any colder out

It sounds like a grounding problem. I would run a ground wire from the engine block to the firewall, or find the factory one and clean it. Also make sure the front radiator support is grounded well. On some of the trucks there is a main grounding point on the driver's side radiator support.
