I am at a loss. I started mytruck this morning and went back inside to let it warm up a bit before driving home from work. When I came back outside, I noticed that I had a spot about the size of a softball under the truck. It was dark, so I climbed under the truck to determine what the leaking fluid was. It smelled alot like diesel. BTW, the truck ran for about 30-45 minutes. I recently replaced the fuel pump, again. Drove home and tried to determine where the leak was from. Noticed fuel in the valley. Dried the fuel out and am now letting the truck run to try to locate the leak. Funn part is the fuel is drainng down the driver side rear of the block. Can anyone give me an idea where to start looking. Besides the connections to the fuel pump and canister? I know it sounds like alot. Thanks in advance.
Thanks, will check there. Also, I tried to tighten the Banjo Bolt, just to make sure. Got maybe 1/16 - 1/8 of a turn on it. Truck has been running for about 45 minutes now. Haven't noticed any fuel in the valley yet. Could that little of a turn have corrected the leak? Sounds minimal to me, but, not real experienced with metal gaskets either. Just curious. Thanks again. Will update.
UPDATE.....I think I found the leak. Just by the grace of god, checked all the sensors using mirror and flashlight. Didn't see anything. Looked for a couple of minutes on each one, still nothing. Was looking at the fuel line on the driver side rear and just happened to turn my head at the right time. Saw a drip from the sensor on the right side of the canister, the one with the single red wire. What is this sensor and how expensive is it to replace? Can I get bywithout it? Just some little questions.
If it is the top sensor it is the fuel filter canister vacuum switch. IH #1809435C1 $30.32 list. I had mine fail after replacing the lift pump .. hard to find, huh !! Some just put a pipe plug in its place. Be carefull not to screw it in tight because you can crack the filter housing.

Yes, it is in the picture. According to the picture, it is the fuel filter restriction sensor. Called Ford, they quoted $80 for the sensor. Bought a $1.25 bolt/ plug. Hopefully it will get me by for a week or two. Thanks a million to all that replied. Probably wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for the input or other threads. I love this site.

You can probably just leave it that way forever. Can't think of anyone ever reporting that sensor disconnected every causing issues. Me, I'm kind of picky and like my rig to have everything intact .. lol
