6.9 engine swap, different engines

my mechanic swapped in an 87 6.9 to my 85. the engine came from a box truck with a van front, my truck is a ramp truck f-359. the problem is the motor mounts. the engine now sits 2 inches higher, can i use f-series mounts? the engines are different.

thanks in advance

I COULD BE WRONG!
But I don't think the engines are different, you should be able to bolt all of the F-ser. mounts to the motor.
Someone on here will know for sure.

If I recall, it is an issue with the said mounts, and the oil cooler, otherwise, the engines are the same.

The van and truck had different exhaust headers and oil coolers. Swap those and you should be able to run the truck mounts.

junkyardkid2002,
Welcome to FTE and the IDI diesel forum.

The F series oil cooler and exhaust manifolds will bolt right on the engine as well as the motor mounts.
