shoulda asked you guys
I bought a cold air intake on ebay it is a K and N, kind of the spur of the moment deal but i was wondering if they make a difference the truck its goin on is in my sig. thanks guys

I had good luck with the k and n I had in my 97, with a 4.6. Was easy to maintain and it seemed like it helped mpg out by .5 to 1mpg (although its pretty hard to accuratly determine that)

Only difference it will make is saving you money on replacement filters. I keep meticulous mileage records and a FIPK did not gain me any mileage. It has paid for itself though when paper filters are running $15-$20 a pop.

thanks for your help guys, its on its way like i said i shoulda asked first before i bought it. it was one of those deals where it was a best offer thing and i was kind of just messin around and what do u know i got it. any way i'm lookin more for quickness than i am gas mileage, the only remedy for better gas mileage is to not drive it or get a car has been my experience
