Keyless entry power??
I have an 00 Expy, with the keyless entry. It seems lately that it takes a couple of times to get the pad to open the doors. What I'm wondering, does this pad run off of the truck battery, or it's own battery? Or could it be another problem?

Any help would be great!

key fob not working
pop it open and change the battery

I think he means he has a keypad on the driver's door. In that event there is no battery.

Yeah, it's the keypad on the door. I didn't know if it had it's own internal battery, like the fob, or if it ran off of the trucks power. Maybe the pad is getting worn out.

Same problem
I have the same problem. At first it was working every other time or so. Now, it does not open the doors at all. I have no idea what the problem is.
Any info is greatly appreciated

Keypad transmits a signal to the RAP (remote Anti-theft personality module) when pressed

thanks that was fast!
my problem starts with only the keypads
only 1/2
5/6
9/0
only these are lite-up?
also my radio and cd player and tape all work fine but
have a dark output screen? no clock , no channels showing on radio front?
anyone have a clue?

pm me the keypad info, mine quit. I like to leave my keys in the car when do Physcal training not i have to carry all my keys looking like a janitor.
