I have an 00 Expy, with the keyless entry. It seems lately that it takes a couple of times to get the pad to open the doors. What I'm wondering, does this pad run off of the truck battery, or it's own battery? Or could it be another problem?

Any help would be great!

I think he means he has a keypad on the driver's door. In that event there is no battery.

 

Yeah, it's the keypad on the door. I didn't know if it had it's own internal battery, like the fob, or if it ran off of the trucks power. Maybe the pad is getting worn out.

 

I have the same problem. At first it was working every other time or so. Now, it does not open the doors at all. I have no idea what the problem is.
Any info is greatly appreciated

 

Keypad transmits a signal to the RAP (remote Anti-theft personality module) when pressed

only these are lite-up?
also my radio and cd player and tape all work fine but
have a dark output screen? no clock , no channels showing on radio front?
anyone have a clue?

 

Would like to see info on the keyless pad, also if you know interchangeability of 3W4T-14K138-AD
